Youth Kickoff Friday

Jello?

Central (Downtown Hong Kong)

Central Park

All the buildings here are built with bamboo scaffolding.  It's amazing that people don't die.
This is how everything looks at night. I understand why Asian people like neon lights under their cars.

Shousen Hill/ Aberdeen Harbor

The family that I am living with resided in one of nicer neighborhoods in Hong Kong called Shousen Hill.  It is on the south side of Hong Kong Island and a nice escape from the crazy downtown (Central).  This is my view off the back patio.

After Church on Sunday one of the family took us out to dinner on their yacht.
This is the Aberdeen harbor which is just one of the many harbors all around the island.  There are a ton of wooden boats/yachts that are classified as "junk" boats here.
Coming back from dinner at a restaurant that didn't have a name with food I couldn't pronounce.  P.S. At lunch i feasted on chicken feet.

Preface

As most of you know, I leave this Friday (August 13th) to work at Union Church in Hong Kong.  I'm pretty excited in the fact that I get to spend the next year of my life working with junior/senior high kids.  I decided to start this "picture blog" and provide updates through pictures instead of words.  Besides no one really wants to read paragraphs of rambling (especially by me).  Anyways, thanks for following and caring.
